The 2nd Technical Session of SUPER FORMULA at Suzuka Circuit
The highly acclaimed SUPER FORMULA, Japan's premiere auto racing series, is set to host its second technical session on November 21, 2025, at the Suzuka Circuit in Mie Prefecture. Announcement of support from the Japan Automobile Association and the local Suzuka City government highlights the event's significance.
Event Overview
This upcoming session will focus on
"Sustainability - Cutting-edge Racing Technology", showcasing the unique aspects of motorsport as a
"Moving Laboratory" and featuring the latest advancements in the Mobility sector. The event will include technology exhibitions and keynote speeches from industry leaders, emphasizing the societal role of motorsports.
Participants can expect to explore groundbreaking technologies such as Nissan's Formula E electric vehicle innovations, Honda's development of F1 power units, Toyota's hydrogen engine technology, and advancements in low-carbon gasoline through domestic cellulose ethanol blend fuels (E10). These presentations will illuminate how motorsport is pivotal in supporting next-gen mobility.
Driven by the philosophy of promoting industrial revitalization and nurturing future talents through motorsport, the event has successfully secured backing from the Japan Automobile Association, an organization dedicated to reviving the industry through automotive events. The city of Suzuka declared itself a “Motorsport City” back in 2004, focusing on urban development through motorsport engagement at a community level.
Through this collaboration, the session aims to showcase the social value of motorsport while fostering new partnerships across business, local communities, and future generations. SUPER FORMULA continues to assert its position as a
"Moving Laboratory," driving technological innovation beyond racing and contributing to society.
