Innovative Advances in the Green Agricultural Supply Chain at CISCE 2026
The fourth China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) spotlighted the Green Agricultural Supply Chain section, which gathered more than 100 agricultural companies from around the globe. This segment was dedicated to exploring the future of technology-driven agriculture, presenting groundbreaking innovations across the agricultural value chain. It also served as a platform for international collaboration aimed at ensuring the security of global agricultural and food supply chains.
Under the leadership of COFCO, the initiative brought together a coalition of global supply chain partners including China State Railway Group, ICBC, China Telecom, SINOMACH, COSCO Shipping, and major food corporations such as Cargill, Louis Dreyfus Company, CP Group, Syngenta, and McDonald’s China. This coalition launched a joint initiative focusing on the construction of a secure and resilient global agricultural and food supply chain. Their efforts aim to foster the exchange of best practices among stakeholders, bolster resilience against risks, accelerate the adoption of new technologies, and support modernization, digital transformation, and sustainable development within the agricultural sector.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) was a pivotal theme within this section. The Beidahuang Group introduced an AI-driven compliance model for agriculture, supported by autonomous machinery and a five-dimensional agricultural land monitoring network. Meanwhile, SINOMACH showcased its portfolio of intelligent agricultural devices along with an AI-supported agricultural operations platform. Inner Mongolia Jishuo Technology presented a world-first AI consulting system for livestock, utilizing proprietary sensors to monitor animal health over extended periods.
Prominent Chinese and international food companies exhibited the entire ecosystem from producers to consumers. CP Group unveiled its integrated supply chain model, Agriculture 4.0. McDonald’s China and Yum China demonstrated partnerships focused on regenerative agriculture, alongside autonomous logistics solutions that meet temperature-controlled delivery requirements. Syngenta released a practical guide outlining regenerative agriculture methods tailored for China. Other notable presentations included traceability systems for dairy products and breeding technologies from companies such as Yili, Feihe, and Junlebao. Regional delegations from Qinghai and Tianjin showcased highland bio-products and specialty foods designed for consumer needs.
Moreover, the section offered additional cross-border services, with the Agricultural Bank of China debuting at the expo to present smart agriculture solutions. The Optimize Integration Group illustrated how AI can minimize customs clearance times for agricultural products. Several international logistics providers and certification bodies for sustainable soybeans also participated, further enhancing the collaborative atmosphere.
This event successfully gathered multinational firms, leading Chinese agricultural businesses, regional industry clusters, and technological innovators to showcase advancements in agricultural modernization and digital transformation across the industry. Digital innovations are paving the way for more precise and efficient farming practices, while cross-border collaboration reinforces the resilience and sustainability of the global agricultural and food supply chain. Through these efforts, the CISCE highlighted not just the challenges of today but also the promising paths towards a technologically advanced and sustainable agricultural future.
