GOLD RANK IN KYOTO U12 4v4 soccer tournament is set to take place on
October 11, 2025, in Kyoto. Organized by
Now Do, Inc., this tournament is not just another competition—it's a unique opportunity for young soccer teams to earn a spot in the prestigious
JAPAN CUP.
What Makes This Tournament Special?
This tournament is designed as a
one-shot opportunity. Only the champion team will secure a place in the JAPAN CUP, making it a high-stakes event for all participating teams. We're looking for
24 teams from the Kinki region, based on the cumulative number of entries. Teams from outside the Kinki area are also welcome to apply, so whether you're entering for the first time or you’ve participated before, we encourage you to join!
The GOLD RANK tournament is the highest level within the 4v4 system, which has three tiers:
Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Winning the Gold level tournament grants automatic qualification to the JAPAN CUP, regardless of rankings. Plus, each winner will receive a special commemorative medal and other prizes, making this event one players won’t want to miss!

Tournament Schedule
The schedule for the day is as follows:
- - 11:00 - Registration Opens
- - 11:30 - Opening Ceremony
- - 12:00 - Matches Begin
- - 16:45 - Closing Ceremony

Venue Details
The matches will be hosted at the
Mizuno Sports Plaza in Kyoto Fushimi, located at:
612-0853 Kyoto, Fushimi-ku, Momoyama-cho Ozaki (inside Fushimi Momoyama Castle Sports Park).
Parking is available at the
Times Fushimi Momoyama Castle North Parking (paid), but please limit it to one vehicle per team for convenience.
How to Enter
To participate, teams need to register their players and gather
four or more friends to form their squad. Team registration for U12 can be done through this link:

Selection Process for Teams
The 24 teams that will participate will be selected based on their cumulative entry counts. If there are fewer than 24 entries by the registration deadline on
October 4 at
23:59, we will switch to a first-come-first-served basis until
October 9 at
23:59. Any team, regardless of previous entries in the Kinki region, is eligible to apply, so be sure to act fast!
Winning Benefits
The winning team will not only earn the right to compete in the
JAPAN CUP but will also receive custom
4v4 medals, trophies, and other memorable gifts at the awards ceremony.
About 4v4
The 4v4 tournament format was innovatively developed by
Keisuke Honda, a well-known figure in Japan's soccer scene, to enhance the playing experience for youth soccer players aged
U10 and
U12. The unique format emphasizes agility and skill with
10-minute matches, free substitutions, and a game-changer shot clock of
20 seconds. Goalkeepers can actively participate in attacking plays, making the game thrilling and engaging.
By excluding coaches from the sidelines, the 4v4 format encourages children to think independently and develop their decision-making skills. With a point-based system allowing multiple attempts for improvement, young athletes are motivated to gather points throughout the season to secure a spot at the JAPAN CUP.
