New Culinary Adventure at Saucer: Menu Essentiel
The acclaimed French restaurant
Saucer, located in the
Ebisu area of
Shibuya, Tokyo, is excited to announce the introduction of its latest dining experience,
Menu Essentiel. Starting on
July 1, 2026, this new course, priced at
12,100 yen (excluding service charge), will be available for reservations from
June 18. Known for holding a
Michelin star for the 2025 and 2026 years, Saucer strives to bring refined culinary experiences to a broader audience in light of rising food costs and labor expenses.
Emphasizing Everyday Ingredients
As prices soar across the dining industry, many restaurants are shifting toward a model that caters primarily to special occasions and affluent customers. While premium ingredients certainly have their merit, Saucer wants to showcase the beauty and potential inherent in more accessible ingredients. The innovative Menu Essentiel is not merely a price reduction; it is a new challenge to demonstrate the skills of the chefs in maximizing the appeal of familiar ingredients.
Each dish will reflect a commitment to quality and craftsmanship, featuring delightful combinations such as
Mizudori (Japanese tachiuo) accompanied by a zesty sauce infused with the scent of
sudachi. This focus on simple yet stunning presentations invites diners to reconnect with the foundational pleasures of fine dining.
