Celebrating the Legacy of Harry Houdini with Aaron Radatz

This Halloween, a spectacular event awaits in Canton, where magician Aaron Radatz pays tribute to the legendary Harry Houdini, marking a century since Houdini's passing in Detroit in 1926. On October 30th, at 7 p.m., families will gather at the Village Theater for an unforgettable performance that intertwines modern magic with the art of escape artistry, a hallmark of Houdini's career.

In this special one-evening show, Radatz will recreate Houdini's iconic upside-down straight jacket escape, a breathtaking act that has captivated audiences for generations. This performance not only celebrates Houdini's legacy but also showcases Radatz's dedication to the craft, having trained for years to master the complexities and thrills of this challenging illusion.

For 20 years, the Radatz team has fostered a love for magic within the community, bringing all ages together to enjoy a captivating lineup of performances that blend grand illusions with engaging audience participation. Radatz, alongside his wife April, who mesmerizes with her incredible choreography and performance skills, creates a dynamic show that promises to enchant everyone present.

Radatz is no stranger to recognition, having been featured on the popular TV series Masters of Illusion on the CW Network. Describing his connection to his hometown roots, Radatz stated, “We always love returning to where my career began. This year is even more special as we are honored to present an incredible Houdini escape that took years to refine. Houdini died in Detroit on Halloween, so the culmination of all the pieces coming together feels very… well, magical.”

With a rich history performing in all fifty states and numerous countries across six continents, Radatz has built a strong reputation not only in entertainment but in community service. His heartfelt performances for the armed forces reflect a deep commitment to honoring those who serve, receiving accolades from the Department of Defense for shows deemed “thrilling.”

Regional performances are a highlight of Radatz's career, with shows for notable organizations like General Motors, Chrysler, and Little Caesars, along with appearances at various cultural events across Michigan.

Tickets for the show start at an affordable price of $20, reaching up to $30, providing a great opportunity for families to experience high-quality entertainment. Tickets can be bought online at radatzmagic.com or by calling the theater directly at (734) 394-5300.
