GuideWell Source Welcomes Gordon Bailey as New CEO to Lead Strategic Growth

GuideWell Source Appoints Gordon Bailey as President and Chief Executive Officer

On July 1, 2026, GuideWell Source announced the appointment of Gordon Bailey as the new President and Chief Executive Officer. This important transition comes as the company looks to evolve strategically following the retirement of Harvey Dikter, who dedicated over 21 years to guiding the organization. Bailey, who joined GuideWell Source earlier this year as the President, brings extensive experience in public affairs and government sector leadership, making him a strong fit for this new role.

A New Leader for a New Chapter

Amy Ruth, chair of the GuideWell Source board of directors, expressed confidence in Bailey’s leadership capabilities, emphasizing his vision for future opportunities within the federal contracting environment and beyond. Ruth stated, “Gordon is the right leader for GuideWell Source and its family of companies to build on our strong foundation and guide us into the next chapter.” Under Bailey's leadership, the organization plans to continue delivering operational excellence to its existing customers.

Bailey is not new to the organization; he has been part of the GuideWell enterprise since 2006. His previous role as Vice President of Public Affairs and Community Engagement saw him driving public policy strategies and interacting with both federal and state regulators to influence health care policies effectively. Bailey's legal expertise includes a tenure as Senior Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary at CSX, as well as a judicial clerkship at the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. His military service includes representing the U.S. Army General Counsel's office at the Pentagon whilst on active duty.

Educational and Community Engagement Background

Gordon Bailey’s strong academic background contributed to shaping his professional trajectory. He graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and American studies and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law. These academic credentials have laid a robust foundation for his professional endeavors.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Bailey actively engages in community service, having served on various nonprofit boards for 25 years. His previous roles include immediate Past Chair of the board of directors for Associated Industries of Florida and serving as a board member for the Florida Blue Foundation. Additionally, he is recognized for his leadership role as the Past Chair of the nationwide board of trustees for PACE Center for Girls and for the PACE Center for Girls Jacksonville.
