Wings for Life World Run 2025: Join the Global Movement
The "Wings for Life World Run 2025" is set to take place on May 4, 2025, at 8 PM Japan Standard Time, offering a unique and exciting way to support spinal cord injury research. Organized by the Wings for Life Foundation, this charity running event has gained global recognition, bringing together participants from every corner of the world to run for a vital cause.
This year’s event will be staged at various locations across Japan, including Tokyo's Meiji Jingu Gaien, Fukuoka's Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, Hiroshima's Fukuyama City Athletics Stadium, and for the first time, at Saitama's Omiya Third Park, the home ground of RB Omiya Ardija.
A Race Without a Finish Line
Unlike traditional running events, the Wings for Life World Run has no specific finish line. Runners start simultaneously across the globe, and a 'Catch Car' begins pursuing them 30 minutes after the start. The moment a participant is overtaken by the Catch Car, their race concludes. This exhilarating experience not only tests endurance but also encourages participants to push their limits, all while supporting an important cause.
Join Special Guests from RB Omiya Ardija
Adding excitement to the event at the Omiya location, special guests from RB Omiya Ardija will lead participants in a warm-up session before the run. Their enthusiastic cheers are sure to elevate the spirits of everyone joining this meaningful event.
Exclusive Prizes for Participants
All participants at the Omiya venue will receive tickets to a future home game of RB Omiya Ardija. Additionally, there’s an exciting chance to win a signed T-shirt from the players through a raffle. This makes it a fantastic opportunity for both soccer fans and newcomers to the sport.
Connect with Friends and Form Teams
The Wings for Life World Run also features a unique 'Team' function in its app, allowing participants to connect with friends and fellow runners globally. They can create their own teams while joining others led by renowned athletes such as Jurgen Klopp and world record pole vaulter Armand Duplantis. Participants can compete to attract the largest number of team members, total distance run, and even share training videos.
A New Challenge with RB Omiya Ardija Team
With the addition of Omiya as a running location, a new team representing RB Omiya Ardija has been formed. Participants at this venue are encouraged to join and challenge Klopp's famous team from the Red Bull soccer network. This connection to an elite soccer community adds excitement and a personal touch to the event.
