Banking Academy of Vietnam and Vantage Foundation Join Forces for Financial Education Advancement

Building a Future Together: The Partnership between the Banking Academy of Vietnam and Vantage Foundation

In a historic move towards enhancing financial education, the Banking Academy of Vietnam (BAV) and the Vantage Foundation have formalized a strategic partnership. This agreement was cemented during a signing ceremony held on December 16, 2025, in Hanoi, underscoring both organizations' commitment to advancing educational initiatives in financial literacy.

Ceremony Highlights

The ceremony was attended by key representatives from both institutions. The BAV was represented by Associate Professor Pham Thi Hoang Anh, interim president; Associate Professor Nguyen Thanh Phuong, vice president; Associate Professor Tran Viet Dung, director of the Banking Research Institute; and Associate Professor Ngoc Thang, head of the human resources department. From Vantage Foundation, key figures included Adam Siew, vice president for business development; Floyd Wang, principal representative in Vietnam; and Monica Wang, head of global projects.

The event kicked off with a formal reception and introductions, followed by videos that highlighted the missions and strengths of BAV and Vantage. These presentations laid the groundwork for understanding the partnership’s common priorities in education, capacity building, and long-term human capital development.

In her opening speech, Associate Professor Pham reaffirmed BAV’s dedication to collaborating with international partners to enhance the quality and relevance of financial education. Adam Siew emphasized the increasing importance of education in preparing future talent for a data and technology-driven financial sector. He discussed how education is vital for sustainable development, especially as artificial intelligence and data analytics reshape financial decision-making.

Framework of Collaboration

The highlight of the ceremony was the official signing of the memorandum of understanding, which cements the partnership between BAV and Vantage. This agreement outlines the collaborative areas, including the joint development of educational programs, mobilizing international expertise and resources, and coordinating efforts to promote the value of financial education.

As part of their initial program, BAV and Vantage plan to co-create a one-day training session titled “Financial Data Analysis and Decision-Making in the AI Era.” This program is tentatively scheduled for late February or early March 2026 and will be held at the Banking Academy in Hanoi, with options for online participation for those in other cities. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion, and the program aims to involve other leading Vietnamese universities.

The ceremony concluded with the exchange of symbolic flowers and commemorative gifts, an official group photo, and networking among representatives. Importantly, this event serves as a formal announcement of the strategic partnership without committing to immediate courses or student activities.
