Huawei Enhances AI-Driven WAN Solutions to Accelerate Carrier Success in the Net5.5G Era
Huawei's AI WAN Solution Unveiled at UBBF 2025
On October 14, 2025, Huawei showcased its upgraded AI WAN Solution during the Net5.5G Intelligent IP Network Summit held at the UBBF 2025 in Paris. Under the theme “Thrive with Net5.5G for All Intelligence,” Huawei positioned itself at the forefront of the telecommunications industry by unveiling a state-of-the-art AI-centric architecture.
A New Approach to Network Management
Leon Wang, President of Huawei’s Data Communication Product Line, delivered a compelling speech titled “AI-Centric Xinghe Intelligent Network Boosting New Growth for Carriers.” He emphasized that Huawei's AI WAN Solution represents a thorough recalibration focused on AI. It comprises a three-layer structure that includes AI-Centric devices, AI-Centric connectivity, and an AI-Centric brain, which altogether create a foundation for redefined IP bearer networks for the Net5.5G era.
To tackle challenges such as stagnating home broadband growth and package homogenization, Huawei's solution integrates the Xingluo identification and profiling engines. This allows carriers to apply monetization strategies at the application level, providing a way to craft unique service packages. Notably, multi-dimensional profiling enhances customer identification accuracy to over 90%, paving the way for better-targeted services.
Meeting the Demand for AI Computing
With the rising demand for AI computing from enterprises, Huawei's AI WAN Solution has already proven its worth. For instance, it facilitated China Telecom Shanghai in launching intelligent computing private lines, which effectively addressed performance issues associated with traditional network frameworks. The innovative Xingluo lossless algorithm has been instrumental in maintaining precise flow-level congestion control, ensuring data protection through its vector conversion engine. The solution supports edge-cloud collaborative training, projecting a significant tenfold increase in carriers' average revenue per user (ARPU) and promising return on investment (ROI) in just two years.
Enhanced Security Measures
As network attacks grow increasingly sophisticated, Huawei's AI WAN Solution fortifies security across devices, networks, and configurations. It introduces session-level fault isolation and employs quantum-resistant encryption to safeguard sensitive information. Additionally, online configuration simulations can verify thousands of devices within 10 minutes, effectively minimizing human errors and enhancing operational reliability.
Transforming Operational Models
As networks evolve, traditional operational models are under growing pressure. In response, Huawei’s NetMaster system empowers 24/7 network protection, shifting the focus from a reactive to a proactive management approach. For instance, China Mobile Guangdong significantly reduced diagnostic times from 45 minutes to 5 minutes, leveraging a knowledge base of 300,000 cases, while MasOrange Spain implemented an autonomous L4 IP driving network that optimized repair times and reduced costs.
Future of Networking
As the summit reached its conclusion, the Net5.5G Pioneer Award Ceremony recognized multiple global carriers for their contributions, marking a significant step towards the widespread rollout of Net5.5G technology. Huawei's AI WAN Solution seeks not only to redefine how carriers operate but also to lead the industry into a new phase of growth and innovation.
These advancements highlight Huawei's commitment to enhancing the telecommunications landscape. By integrating cutting-edge AI capabilities within its WAN solutions, Huawei is setting the stage for a future where carriers thrive in a digital age characterized by rapid technological evolution.
