Your First Steps Towards Financial Literacy and Investment Management
In Japan, a staggering half of household financial assets remain dormant, primarily parked in cash. This highlights a significant disparity in asset growth compared to countries like the United States, where investments predominantly favor equities. What truly differentiates asset management strategies isn't wealth or exceptional talent, but rather the vital decision-making abilities people possess and the action they take when investing. The experienced team at Pari Miki Asset Management recognizes the urgent need to address this knowledge gap and combat the silent risk of inflation that erodes cash purchasing power over time.
To tackle these issues, we are excited to announce a free online seminar series titled “
Financial Literacy for Adults in 30 Minutes,” focusing on the initial steps toward effective asset management. Beginning on October 21, 2026, this three-part series aims to provide participants with thought-provoking insights into how to manage and grow their wealth with confidence. Our goal is to present complex financial concepts in an engaging and relatable manner, allowing attendees to learn at their own pace without the stress of complicated jargon.
Seminar Outline
Session 1: The Reality of Asset Disparity (October 21, 2026)
In our first session, we will address the question: “Why do we procrastinate when it comes to financial matters?” Here, we’ll delve into the importance of making timely decisions and taking action in asset formation. Drawing comparisons from Japanese financial customs and global perspectives, we’ll illustrate how identical income levels can lead to drastically different financial futures based on individual choices over a period of 20 years. Participants will gain access to an insightful “money visualization sheet” to aid in their financial organization.
Session 2: Protecting Assets in an Inflationary Environment (October 27, 2026)
Building on the insights of the first session, the second seminar will focus on confronting the reality of diminishing purchasing power due to inflation, despite stable bank account figures. We will share three key principles for asset growth: long-term investment, diversification, and systematic investing, equipping participants with reliable benchmarks to navigate the financial market intelligently.
Session 3: Finding the Right Advisor (November 11, 2026)
In our concluding session, we underscore the significance of selecting the right investment philosophy over merely choosing investment products. Through expert guidance, participants will learn how to identify qualified finance professionals and the right questions to ask to find a suitable advisor.
Additional Consultation Opportunities
To complement the seminars, we will also offer free one-on-one consultations for those who may feel unsure of how these insights directly relate to their financial situations. These personalized sessions will guide individuals through their unique financial scenarios and discuss options for building or refining their asset portfolios.
The consultations available at the scheduled times will be led by experienced specialists, including senior strategist Noboru Nishiyama and company director Masashi Watanabe, both of whom bring extensive backgrounds in finance and asset management to the table.
