Lincoln Investment Expands Executive Leadership Team

Lincoln Investment Planning, LLC is making significant strides in fortifying its executive leadership team with the recent appointments of Jason Estes as Chief Information and Technology Officer (CITO) and Dan Alexander as Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO). Effective July 28, 2025, these new roles are instrumental in guiding the company through its strategic digital transformation and business development initiatives.

Jason Estes assumes the CITO role, taking charge of Lincoln's technology strategy. His responsibilities encompass overseeing various digital transformation projects and modernizing the firm's IT infrastructure to bolster the growth of Lincoln’s extensive network of financial professionals and its client base. With over two decades of expertise in information technology and digital innovation, Estes previously served as the Chief Information and Digital Officer at First Command Financial Services, where he led advanced technology integrations in a multifaceted financial services environment.

During his tenure at First Command, Estes played a pivotal role in initiating modernization strategies that resulted in greater system reliability, improved advisor access to resources, and enhanced digital client interactions. His work included implementing cloud-native architectures and establishing agile development practices that cater to modern financial service needs.

In his own words, Estes commented, “Lincoln's mission to serve financial professionals and their clients with excellence is one I deeply respect. I am thrilled to join a firm with such a solid foundation and promising growth potential. I look forward to partnering across the organization to create cutting-edge technology that enhances both the financial professional and client experiences.”

On the other hand, Dan Alexander comes in as CBDO, where he will focus on driving revenue growth and formulating strategic plans that give Lincoln a competitive edge in the marketplace. He’s also tasked with expanding Lincoln's financial professional network while developing effective retention strategies amid branch growth. Prior to his new role, Alexander co-founded RetireAware in 2017, which aimed to enhance market transparency through consulting services tailored to retirement plans and various financial entities.

Alexander's previous experience includes serving as the Midwest Regional Vice President for VALIC, a well-respected name in financial services (now known as Corebridge Financial). Reflecting on his new position, Alexander expressed, “Having worked alongside Lincoln Investment, I have seen their unwavering commitment to empowering financial professionals and delivering exceptional outcomes for their clients. Joining a firm that aligns with my values, particularly one that prioritizes transparency and service excellence, is genuinely exciting.”

Together, Estes and Alexander join a dynamic executive team that includes CEO Ed Forst, President and COO Kathy Leckey, CFO Diane McCarthy, General Counsel Maureen Mattson, and Chief Human Resources Officer Steven Flax. This collective leadership is expected to guide Lincoln into a future filled with opportunities and challenges in the ever-evolving financial landscape.

“The appointment of Jason and Dan signifies an exciting time for Lincoln Investment,” remarked Kathy Leckey, President and COO. “We are confident that this field-facing leadership team possesses the skills and determination necessary to steer Lincoln towards a prosperous future.”
