Hana Kato, a company artist with the Queensland Ballet. Hana has an inspiring journey and deep passion for the
art of ballet, making her an excellent representative of her esteemed company.
Hana's Journey to Becoming a Ballet Dancer
Hana Kato began her ballet training at the tender age of three and was enrolled at the Tachibana Ballet School by
the age of twelve. Her dedication to the craft led her to participate in the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), where
her talent captured attention. This opportunity which paved the way for her to study abroad at The Australian
Ballet School, where she graduated at the top of her class.
In 2019, Hana joined Queensland Ballet as an apprentice and transitioned to the Ballet du Capitole de Toulouse the following year, where she performed
as a soloist. In 2022, she made her return to Queensland Ballet, where she continues to thrive in her craft,
honing her skills and taking on new challenges.
