Innovation Spearheading New Technologies

Driven by the desire to meet user demands in sports health management, Huawei is committed to continually investing in wearable device innovations. The company has established three health labs around the globe, leveraging the capabilities of over ten research institutes to push the boundaries of sports health technology.

In 2024, Huawei launched a new digital health and fitness paradigm known as the TruSense system, which promises greater accuracy and speed in monitoring vital data. By 2025, the TruSense system was further improved, combining the advantages of fingertip and wrist detection to provide comprehensive, accurate, and rapid health monitoring, including a ten-second blood oxygen reading at the fingertip and an increase in micro-body measurement indicators to 17 items.

As a pioneer in blood pressure measurement technology, Huawei launched the HUAWEI WATCH D, which has received Class II medical device registration certification in China. This innovation is now included in the “Chinese Guidelines for Hypertension Prevention and Treatment (Revised 2024).” To date, Huawei’s wearables have obtained seven domestic medical certifications and health device certifications in 13 overseas countries/regions, alongside nearly 1,000 patent applications in the smart wearable device space.

Building a Sports Health Lifestyle Together

Huawei is actively engaging global users in co-developing a sports health lifestyle. In September 2023, the company initiated the “Light Up Your Rings” campaign, which attracted over six million participants globally, with users lighting up their rings over three hundred million times. The newly launched Active Rings initiative in 2025 promotes joyful movement anytime, anywhere with Huawei's wearable devices, having previously taken place in countries such as Germany, Spain, and China. The consumption experience of enjoying active moments together will be gradually rolled out to Asia-Pacific countries, Latin America, the Middle East, and beyond.

With continuous innovation and a keen understanding of user needs, Huawei aims to maintain its status as a leader in the wearable device industry, fostering healthier, more active lifestyles worldwide.
