Bringing Environmental Awareness to Young Students
In a collaborative effort aimed at fostering environmental consciousness among the youth, Efpicco Inc. and Owkawa Inc. are set to host educational classes focused on environmental stewardship at Wakayama University-affiliated elementary school. This initiative aims to engage fifth and sixth-grade students through hands-on learning about recycling and resource circulation.
The Initiative
Both Efpicco and Owkawa aspire to become eco-leaders within their community, emphasizing the importance of recycling used food trays collected from Owkawa's stores. The program promotes a 'store to store' horizontal recycling approach, wherein used trays are transformed back into new products to be utilized in the sales process. The goal is to instill the importance of recycling and resource conservation into the minds of future generations, encouraging them to learn by seeing, touching, and thinking critically about their environment.
