KWAVE Dance Contest: Uniting Cultures Through Dance

October 12, 2025, the prestigious
KWAVE Dance Contest, a key highlight within the
THE Madang Festival, will be held at
Yamato University’s Yamato Arena. This international event aims to combine
K-POP and
youth culture in a captivating competition.
A Platform for New Talents
Presiding as the chief judge will be
Tsugu a.k.a. Tg, a renowned choreographer and producer in the dance scene, leading a panel of distinguished judges including
Shigekix, a celebrated breakdancer, alongside other elite artists from Japan and beyond. The goal of this event is to deepen cultural and artistic exchanges between Japan and South Korea, while offering aspiring young dancers the chance to shine on a global stage.
In addition,
n.SSign, a K-POP boy group, will serve as the event's promotional ambassadors, launching their appearance on the same day. Collaborating with them is
UDTT, a vibrant girls' group, emphasizing the dynamism of today's youth

The winning team will be rewarded with incredible prizes that include an appearance at an award ceremony in South Korea, a complimentary trip to Korea, and a spot on the popular television show,

Seuk YeBin, aims to inspire the next generation through dance lessons and to escalate cultural ties between Japan and South Korea.
