Sportball Expands Its Reach with New Locations in Dallas-Plano and Frisco-McKinney, Texas

Sportball Expands Its U.S. Footprint

Sportball, a pioneer in developmentally appropriate youth sports programming, is making significant strides in its U.S. expansion. This fall, the company will be opening its first corporate-operated location in Dallas-Plano, followed by a new franchise location in Frisco-McKinney expected to launch in early 2027. Having established a presence in the United States through franchising since 2005, this new corporate location marks a pivotal shift in Sportball’s business strategy, allowing for direct operations in the U.S. market.

Growing Demand for Youth Sports

Sportball has spent over 30 years redefining the youth sports landscape by providing fun-first, multi-sport programming that promotes physical literacy among children. As demand rises for sports programs that encourage development and enjoyment rather than inciting fierce competition, Sportball has steadily increased its investment in U.S. facilities. Texas is particularly advantageous for this endeavor, bolstered by a strong sports culture and a growing number of children eager to engage in activities that promote good health and social skills.

As highlighted by the National Survey of Children’s Health, Texas leads the nation in high school athletic participation while noting that only 51% of youth aged 6 to 17 participate in organized sports or lessons, which is slightly below the national average of 56.7%. This indicates a vast opportunity for Sportball to introduce its unique model to families seeking age-appropriate sports options.

Vision for the Future

Quinten Griffiths, CEO of Sportball, expressed his enthusiasm about this corporate opening, emphasizing the importance of long-term commitment in Texas. He noted, “Our existing franchises have shown us that U.S. families are looking for developmentally appropriate options that prioritize fun, confidence, and skill-building.” The Dallas-Plano location is set to be more than just a facility; it will serve as a testing ground for innovative classes and formats that can be adopted throughout the franchise network.

Jason D’Rocha, Vice President and Growth Coach at Sportball, stated, “Having a corporate-operated location in the U.S. gives us the opportunity to trial new ideas while staying focused on our ultimate goal: helping kids forge a positive relationship with movement.”

Upcoming Programs for Families

Sportball Dallas-Plano will commence its first season on October 10, 2026. The initial offerings will include parent-and-child classes for toddlers aged 16 months to 3 years, as well as drop-off classes for preschool-aged children aged 3 to 5. As the initiative matures, expanded multi-sport programs and summer camps for kids up to age 12 will be introduced. The programming will initially take place at prominent venues such as Liberty Recreation Centre, Plano Day School, and Little Marvels Montessori, with more locations planned in the future.

Families interested in these enriching programs can register now at Sportball.com or sign up for the mailing list to receive updates on newly opened locations and offerings. The Frisco-McKinney franchise is also anticipated to open in early 2027, with further details to follow.

Apart from the new Texas locations, Sportball already operates various venues from coast to coast, including Phoenix, AZ, Southern California, Boston, MA, Brooklyn, NY, and multiple cities in Texas, including Austin and San Antonio. The company is committed to further expansion across the United States through strategic investments and growth of the franchise network.
