Angie Klein: A Marketing Leader
Angie Klein, who brings nearly 25 years of experience in consumer marketing, currently serves as the head of U.S. consumer channels at Apple. Klein’s extensive career includes significant roles at Verizon, where she served as chief content officer and senior vice president responsible for growth marketing. Notably, she was the inaugural president of Verizon Value, leading a successful multi-brand prepaid portfolio. Klein’s rich background in marketing and strategic growth positions her well to contribute to Nelnet's ambitions.
Her academic success includes degrees in marketing and advertising from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Furthermore, she is recognized as a David Rockefeller Fellow and is affiliated with The Marketing Academy. Klein will contribute her expertise to several key committees at Nelnet, including Nominating and Corporate Governance, People Development and Compensation, and Compliance.
Ed Pallesen: A Financial Services Veteran
Ed Pallesen brings more than 25 years of experience in financial services, with a strong focus on infrastructure investing. Before his board placement at Nelnet, Pallesen had notable stints at Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., and since 2019, he has been the managing director and global head of infrastructure at H.I.G. Capital, a prominent private alternatives investment firm. His specialization includes investments in digital infrastructure and renewable energy.
Pallesen’s academic credentials are equally impressive; he holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard College, and both an M.Phil and D.Phil from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. Additionally, Pallesen has a law degree from Harvard Law School and serves as a trustee for the University of Nebraska Foundation. At Nelnet, he will be involved with the Nominating and Corporate Governance and Risk and Finance committees.
