Celebrating 75 Years of Scandinavian Innovations: ASKO Shines at Milan Design Week
From April 8 to 13, 2025, the renowned Scandinavian brand ASKO celebrates its 75th anniversary of groundbreaking innovations in kitchen and laundry appliances at the prestigious Milan Design Week. This event not only marks the company’s legacy from its inception but also presents its latest cutting-edge products that combine advanced technology with timeless design.
The journey of ASKO began when a young farmer in Sweden invented the first-ever washing machine. Stepping into the present, ASKO is showcasing its award-winning NYACRAFT ovens equipped with Celsius°Cooking™ technology, along with the Nordic Fresh 2.0 refrigerators and freezers, as well as the Scandinavian Laundry Care 2.0 washing machines, all in uniquely designed installations created in collaboration with Marmo Arredo.
In celebration of this significant milestone, ASKO has partnered with VOGUE Adria to produce an exclusive editorial highlighting their new series of washing machines. The stunning visuals captured by renowned photographer Branislav Simončík were taken at the historic Läckö Castle in Lidköping, Sweden, where ASKO’s first washing machine was invented. This article will be featured in the inaugural issue of VOGUE LIVING, which will be available at the ASKO booth during the Milan Design Week.
ASKO's dedication to energy-efficient washing systems and innovative kitchen solutions sets new standards in functionality and design. Their exhibition at Milan emphasizes the attention to detail that characterizes ASKO's ethos, combining meticulous craftsmanship with forward-thinking innovations to create aesthetically pleasing and highly functional products.
The appliances presented, including the Scandinavian Laundry Care 2.0 featuring the Steel Seal™ washing machine, illustrate ASKO's continuing leadership in laundry care through innovations prioritizing hygiene and environmental sustainability. The built-in and freestanding refrigerators and freezers showcase a perfect blend of style and utility, highlighting the Kitchen Fit function of ASKO’s freestanding units. Meanwhile, the NYACRAFT ovens from ASKO's Celsius line offer unparalleled precision and versatility, available with both framing and glass design options.
The ASKO History of Innovation exhibition invites visitors daily from 10 AM to 5 PM during the event, located at Via delle Erbe 2a, Milan, in the Brera Design district.
