Initially focused on onsite healthcare, the company took a major step forward in 2014, when a merger between CHS Health Services and Take Care Employer Services marked a pivotal moment in its growth, leading to the rebranding as Premise Health. The acquisition of Premise by the private equity arm of OMERS in 2018 fortified its mission and operational capabilities. Investing in advanced technologies became a hallmark of Premise's strategy, including the implementation of the Epic electronic medical record platform and the rollout of virtual care services. By February of 2020, Premise introduced its first version of a virtual care platform, providing members access to 24/7 care through the My Premise Health app.
