Oceanco to Debut the Stunning Leviathan and Draak at Monaco Yacht Show 2026

Oceanco's Ambitious Showcase at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026

Oceanco, known for its bold approach to yacht design and commitment to innovation, is set to unveil two remarkable projects at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026: the luxurious Leviathan and the reimagined Draak. These projects reflect Oceanco's reputation for partnering with visionary owners who dare to push the boundaries of traditional yacht concepts.

The introduction of both vessels signifies an important milestone for the shipyard, as Gabe Newell, owner of Inkfish, joins the Oceanco family since July 2025. This event marks the first time Oceanco will present a newly constructed yacht alongside a fully remodeled one at the Monaco Yacht Show, showcasing a diverse range of expertise and creativity within the maritime industry.

Oceanco's CEO, Marcel Onkenhout, emphasizes the importance of collaboration in every project, stating, "Each owner brings a unique vision, and every project presents a distinct challenge." This collaborative spirit has culminated in the creation of Leviathan and Draak, both designed with a strong focus on community and the special needs of the crew members who will operate them.

Innovative Designs for Enhanced Experiences
The Leviathan, launched in November 2025, redefines yachting design to enhance the experience of those aboard. With spacious communal areas, the layout promotes interaction between guests and crew, fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the choice of low-maintenance materials aims to boost crew productivity, ensuring smooth operations. Onboard facilities such as a diving center, laboratory, and hospital provide invaluable support for research and exploration activities conducted by Inkfish.

Meanwhile, the Draak, delivered in June 2026, underwent a comprehensive reconstruction through Oceanco’s Life Cycle Support Program. This yacht was innovatively redesigned to meet new operational goals, aligning closely with the Leviathan to support Inkfish expeditions. It features specialized equipment catering to divers, a robust fleet of support craft, and advanced lifting systems, seamlessly integrating many design elements from the Leviathan to ensure operational harmony.

As the Monaco Yacht Show begins, it will not only celebrate these innovative vessels but also mark the first anniversary of Gabe Newell’s integration into the Oceanco team. His tenure has seen continued growth and collaboration, bringing partners like Alewijnse and Winel into the Oceanco ecosystem, augmenting capabilities with specialized companies like Aluship, Lateral, and Mercury.

A Vision for the Future of Yachting
Looking forward, Oceanco is enthusiastic about exploring new opportunities that align with increasingly ambitious visions from yacht owners. By leveraging a broader technological ecosystem within the Oceanco Group, the shipyard is investigating new methods to innovate not just in design and construction but also in yacht operations.

Gabe Newell articulates a clear ambition, remarking, "Most projects I have participated in aim to advance some aspect of technology for our clients' benefit. Our mission is to identify intriguing technologies, prototype them, and move them into production."

The Monaco Yacht Show stands as one of the major nautical events of the year, serving as an invaluable platform for networking with clients, partners, and industry professionals. Throughout the week, Oceanco will be actively participating in a thoughtfully curated program, featuring the Leviathan and Draak on display at the cruise terminal, as well as hospitality areas throughout the exhibition grounds.

With opportunities for new construction and redesign available, Oceanco is keen to engage with potential clients ready to bring their unique visions to life. To make the most of their visit, interested parties are encouraged to book private appointments with the Sales and Life Cycle Support teams.
