Celebrating Five Years of Asamimi-chan

From February 27th to March 15th, 2026, the popular rabbit character Asamimi-chan will celebrate its 5th anniversary with a special pop-up event named "Asamimi-chan 5th Anniversary Thank You Rabbit!" at GALLERY X BY PARCO in Shibuya, Tokyo. Asamimi-chan has gained a loyal following on social media, embodying the playful spirit of a rabbit that comforts and connects with many fans nationwide.

Asamimi-chan, which translates to "Shallow Ears Rabbit," started its journey in 2021 aiming to become Japan's top character talent. Over the past five years, it has continued to touch the hearts of people of all ages. The pop-up will feature multiple photo spots where visitors can take pictures with adorable Asamimi-chan characters, commemorating the special occasion with delightful visuals and setups.

The pop-up event will not only celebrate the character's journey but will also offer a variety of exclusive merchandise showcasing newly illustrated visuals. Limited edition items will be available for purchase, including:

• - White and Black T-shirts (S/M/L/XL) for ¥5,500 (tax included)
• - Tote bags for ¥3,850 (tax included)
• - Cookie cans with bonus random stickers (3 types) for ¥1,400 (tax included)
• - Acrylic stands, random acrylic keychains, and more at various price points.

For two specific periods during the event, visitors can enjoy unique displays at select photo spots. From February 27 to March 7, the displays will highlight a birthday theme, while from March 8 to March 15, they will transition to a band theme. It’s an exciting opportunity for fans to witness the evolving character of Asamimi-chan and snap memorable photos.

Participants visiting the pop-up can also partake in a little surprise. For every ¥2,000 spent on merchandise at the venue, shoppers will receive a free "5th Anniversary Original Omikuji" fortune slip. (Available while supplies last; five different designs, selection is random.)
