This strategic decision comes as CareSource prepares for the retirement of Larry Smart, the outgoing CFO, who has served the organization for six years.

With a professional background rich in financial planning and health plan operations, Williams is set to lead CareSource into its next phase of growth. Since joining CareSource in 2021 as Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary, she has garnered substantial experience that positions her well for this role. Her expertise encompasses financial planning across 12 states, along with oversight of key strategy initiatives related to Medicaid, Medicare rates, and the organization’s overall financial health. Williams emphasized her commitment to enhancing CareSource’s mission of improving the health and well-being of its members.
