Trive Joins Forces to Empower Women with Digital Skills in Japan

Trive Joins the DX Women Empowerment Consortium

Trive Inc., headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, is taking a significant step towards creating a brighter future by joining the "Public-Private Partnership DX Women Empowerment Consortium." Under the leadership of CEO Shunsuke Okamoto, Trive collaborates with notable entities including former Cabinet Secretary for Employment and Wages, Ms. Wako Yada, and executives from major companies like LINE Yahoo, SAP Japan, and Salesforce Japan. The consortium is set to launch on July 7, 2025, with a vision to harness the untapped potential within local communities, focusing on empowering women through digital skills acquisition and employment support.

Background to the Consortium's Formation

The consortium is born from the recognition of the dormant capabilities present within communities, particularly among women who possess rich experiences and skills but often remain underutilized due to factors such as non-regular employment and biases. Simultaneously, local businesses struggle with a lack of digital transformation (DX) and face challenges with talent shortages.

Facing this reality, the consortium was established to ask the crucial question: “Is this truly acceptable?” The response initiated the creation of the Public-Private Partnership DX Women Empowerment Consortium, dedicated to tackling these challenges head-on.

Objectives and Activities of the Consortium

The work of this consortium transcends standard human resource development and DX promotion. It strives to deliver digital skills to women in their communities, foster job opportunities, and help them forge unique careers. This transformation is expected to drive change in regional companies and, consequently, the overall future of local areas. The ultimate goal is to set a foundational point for a positive cycle where “people change, companies change, and communities change,” contributing to the sustainable local revitalization movement referred to as “Local Revitalization 2.0.”

Key Initiatives Include:

  • - Collecting and disseminating case studies of women from the community who successfully acquire digital skills.
  • - Supporting employment post-skills acquisition to increase wages for women in the area.
  • - Assisting regional businesses in their management DX efforts to alleviate talent shortages.
  • - Collaborating with local government authorities.
  • - Partnering with related government ministries.

A Message from CEO Shunsuke Okamoto

Reflecting on his teenage passion for music, Okamoto shared, “It was the words ‘Create your own playground’ that inspired me to establish my indie record label. This experience echoed my belief that if something doesn’t exist, we must create it. Today, numerous women across Japan seek spaces to shine. We, at Trive, are eager to build that stage together.” Trive aims to weave women’s careers, local challenges, and corporate evolution into a singular narrative through this consortium.
