The 4th Midea Building Tech. TRUE Conference Paves the Path Towards a Carbon-Free Future in Smart Buildings

Midea Building Tech. TRUE Conference: Shaping the Future of Smart Buildings

On July 2-3, 2025, Shanghai hosted the 4th Midea Building Tech. TRUE Conference, an important event focused on the digital transformation and carbon reduction in the construction industry. The conference highlighted significant advancements in sustainable building practices and attracted over 2,000 participants, including more than 50 industry leaders and experts.

The theme of this year’s conference was "TRUE Evolution: Smart Buildings, Green Future." It aimed to foster discussions on innovative ideas and solutions for smart buildings that promote sustainability. Attendees engaged in a range of activities such as main forums, panel discussions, product launches, and eco exhibitions that showcased the latest technological advancements in the sector.

During the main forum, experts exchanged insights on how to drive green and low-carbon development. Discussions emphasized the need for constructing a new architectural energy system that would bolster the development of high-quality energy supplies. A key topic was the synergistic convergence of green buildings with financial ecosystems, which is vital for promoting sustainable financing solutions. Real-world case studies illustrated practical experiences in enhancing energy efficiency and implementing strategies for urban decarbonization.

Midea Building Technologies (MBT) played a prominent role in the conference by charting innovative solutions spanning its core business areas, including HVAC systems, smart elevators, building automation, and energy management. One notable highlight was the showcase of the Midea V9 VRF system, designed to overcome industry challenges such as cooling efficiency deterioration in extreme temperatures, the need for additional inverters when integrating solar panels, and energy waste due to unmonitored air conditioning usage.

In addition, Midea's advancements in large-scale cooling technologies, leveraging its core MAGLEV+ technology, represented significant breakthroughs that ranged from cooling applications to industrial energy supply management. This shift indicates a move from upgrading individual units to a comprehensive, system-level transformation in the energy sector.

Kermi introduced its smart HVAC+E Solution tailored for residential buildings, aimed at creating more comfortable, intelligent, and sustainable living environments. Meanwhile, LINVOL presented its next generation of residential elevators and a complete solution for freight elevators, emphasizing improved rides and user satisfaction.

Peter Guan, Vice President of Midea Group and President of Midea Building Tech, stated, "We aim to be the smart building partner for our customers. We are continuously enhancing our capabilities in digitalization, automated control, system design, and technical implementation to meet the demands for low-carbon and intelligent buildings."

The Midea Building Tech. TRUE Conference has established itself as a crucial meeting point for professionals aiming to transform the construction industry through innovative solutions and collaborations. With a collective effort towards carbon reduction and sustainable practices, the future of smart buildings appears bright, setting the foundation for a greener world.
