AEON Launches Innovative Senior English Course
AEON, a renowned English conversation school based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, is excited to announce the introduction of a new course specifically tailored for seniors, named "Adult Brain Activation and English Conversation Salon." Set to commence on
September 1, 2026, this course aims to create a vibrant environment for seniors looking to enhance their social interactions and cognitive capabilities through engaging discussions.
Focus on Enjoyment and Communication
In today’s era of longer life expectancy, many seniors aspire not just for health but also a rich social life, filled with hobbies and connections. AEON recognizes that diving into English conversation might seem daunting for those who have never tried it before. Therefore, this course emphasizes communication rather than traditional learning methods.
Participants can expect to discuss relatable topics such as hobbies, travel recommendations, and favorite dining spots. The primary goal is to foster an enjoyable conversational atmosphere rather than turning the course into a heavy study session. This not only stimulates brain activity but also offers a platform for socializing with peers who share similar interests.
Supporting a Comfortable Learning Environment
The classes will be taught by personable Japanese instructors or foreign teachers who can communicate in Japanese, ensuring that even those with little confidence in their English skills can feel at ease while participating. This supportive approach allows seniors to express themselves comfortably and connect with others in a relaxed setting.
Flexible Class Schedule
The lessons will be conducted on weekdays, starting between 12 PM and 3 PM, allowing for convenient attendance for many seniors. Note that the availability of the course may vary by location, and individuals interested in enrolling are encouraged to check AEON's website or call their toll-free number for more details.
Enrollment and Fee Structure
Reservations for the new course will begin on
August 4, 2026. Participants can register via the AEON website, a toll-free number (0800-111-1111), or by visiting a nearby AEON center. Classes will occur once a week, with each session lasting 50 minutes. The monthly fee is set at
6,600 yen, which includes lessons but excludes registration and management fees. Importantly, there are no admission fees or materials costs, making it an accessible option for seniors.
