A Five-Year Journey

Having been in the market for five years, the ON℃ZONE Cat Tongue Mug was developed in response to feedback from many users who struggled with the high temperatures of their drinks. Doshisha has long been known for its high-quality stainless steel vacuum mugs that maintain temperature effectively, but the challenge arose with the need for a product that could cater to individuals who find hot beverages difficult to enjoy due to their temperature. The introduction of the Cat Tongue series in November 2020 addressed these needs remarkably well.

Names like "It's truly a lifesaver for cat tongues!" and "Maintains warmth until the last sip while being drinkable instantly!" have flooded in since its first release. To ensure more people could enjoy this fantastic product, Doshisha has introduced a new neutral color: Light Gray. This muted tone is meant to appeal to a wide audience, making it a suitable choice for anyone, regardless of gender.

Innovative Features

Heat-Absorbing Technology

The Cat Tongue Mug incorporates an ingenious three-layer structure that includes heat-absorbing material encased within a stainless steel vacuum layer. This innovative design allows it to cool down hot drinks swiftly—down to a drinkable temperature in just approximately three minutes. For instance, when you pour an 80°C beverage into the mug, the temperature drops to about 67°C within that timeframe. Additionally, its vacuum feature helps maintain a temperature above 58°C for an hour afterward, catering perfectly to sensitive drinkers.

Note: The measurements are based on experiments conducted at a room temperature of 20°C ± 2°C.
If the drink starts at 95°C, the temperature settles around 77°C after three minutes, according to tests conducted by the Japan Quality Evaluation Organization.
