Huawei Introduces Upgraded Stellar AI Network for Secure Connectivity in AI Era

Huawei's Improved Stellar AI Network for the AI Era

During the recent HUAWEI CONNECT 2026, Huawei introduced its enhanced Stellar AI Network, aimed at establishing smarter and more secure connectivity across artificial intelligence applications. This upgraded solution is designed to meet the increasing demands of the AI era by ensuring efficient processing, seamless data transmission, and rapid application deployment. With features that promise to elevate operational continuity and security, this offering addresses the challenges posed by the booming AI landscape.

Addressing Network Challenges

The rapid adoption of AI technologies has resulted in a staggering 260-fold increase in daily token consumption over the past year. Huawei's latest Stellar AI Network comprises three key solutions: AI Fabric, AI WAN, and AI Campus, each tailored to the evolving needs of intelligent connectivity and security.

Stellar AI Fabric 2.0

Intelligent Connectivity: To tackle issues like soaring network costs, slow protocol conversions, and traffic retransmissions due to temporary connection instabilities, Huawei has launched the UBG SF9300 switch series. Coupled with Ascend A5/A6, this integration provides a comprehensive UBG solution that combines computing and networking capabilities. The two-tier, multi-plane architecture eliminates the need for a centralized network layer, resulting in a 30% reduction in implementation costs. The unified protocol cuts end-to-end latency from 20μs to 11μs, while Link-Layer Retransmission (LLR) technology ensures packet loss is avoided during transient connection issues, reducing service downtime in clusters by 100 hours annually.

Security Features

Huawei’s three-layer protection framework guards against illicit computational capacity theft, prompt manipulation attacks, and model compromises. Particularly, the network protection layer employs a model to detect unauthorized resource usage, identifying 95% of suspicious activities and blocking harmful traffic in milliseconds. Intelligent agents’ security systems accurately detect manipulation attacks 95% of the time, maintaining CPU utilization below 1%. In real-world operational environments, the solution has detected 415 high-risk vulnerabilities and 322 threat events within just seven days of deployment, utilizing AI to secure systems and ensure token generation safety.

Stellar AI WAN

Expanded Connectivity: The distributed use of computational capacity across geographical areas poses challenges such as efficiency loss, local infrastructure costs, and the burden of dedicated lines. Huawei’s Stellar AI WAN mitigates these issues, allowing computation transfer over distances exceeding 1,000 km without packet loss. Its Starnet algorithm eliminates packet loss over long distances, enhancing remote processing efficiency to over 95%. The integrated XH device employs a tiered model partitioning algorithm for local initial and final model levels, transmitting only high-dimensional vectors across the network. This ensures original data remains secure within local enterprise infrastructures, reducing peripheral site initial xPU costs by four times.

Advanced Security Protocols

Huawei's WAN multidimensional defense technology protects against advanced persistent threats (APT) and emerging attacks. Integrated security cards block intrusions in real time, tracing threats back to their origins with over 95% accuracy and visualizing attack paths across up to 100 network steps. The built-in Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technology offers resistance against quantum threats without extra hardware, slashing construction costs by more than 60% and extending transmission distances up to 80 km.

Stellar AI Campus Network

24/7 Smart Management: With predictions indicating that intelligent agents will account for nearly 50% of enterprise operations within the year, manual network management is insufficient for continuous, around-the-clock operation. Huawei enhances autonomous network management across all operational scenarios by leveraging data and intelligence. The proprietary network state detection technology gathers over 25 data types with 100 ms sampling intervals, allowing the identification of even minor anomalies.

Security Innovations

As companies face rapid device compromises and harmful interactions from intelligent agents, Huawei’s Stellar AI Campus Network Asset Security 2.0 addresses these risks through coordinated terminal and network defense. By integrating micro-AI models into switches, the detection time for threats to non-intelligent devices is reduced from five minutes to under ten seconds. Utilizing proprietary AI Core models and large semantic models executed on Neural Processing Units (NPU), the solution can comprehensively reconstruct intelligent agent interaction scenarios, achieving a 95% detection rate of harmful commands. This capability facilitates the identification and elimination of risks that may not be immediately visible, safeguarding both enterprise networks and their services.

Looking Ahead

As the AI landscape evolves, Huawei is committed to continuous innovation within its Stellar AI Network products and solutions, adhering to the vision of "AI for All, All on Secure IP." By collaborating with customers and partners, Huawei aims to maximize the value of every connection in the artificial intelligence age.
