Exploring the Vibrant World of Festivals Through Art at PASONA Heartful Exhibition

Discovering Japanese Festival Culture through Art

From July 10 to July 15, 2026, a captivating art exhibition titled 'MATSURI' will be held at PASONA SQUARE's Annex Aoyama in Tokyo, showcasing approximately 20 vibrant artworks inspired by traditional Japanese festivals. This unique exhibition highlights the remarkable talents of artists with disabilities employed by PASONA Heartful, a subsidiary of PASONA Group.

Established in 1992 with the motto 'There are no disabilities in talent', PASONA Group aimed to expand employment opportunities in the artistic field for individuals facing employment challenges. In 2004, PASONA Heartful began hiring 'artist employees' dedicated to painting, and today, the organization proudly supports 23 talented artists, each expressing their unique perspectives and creativity through their work.

The exhibition coincides with the summer festival season in Japan, providing a perfect backdrop to explore the cultural significance of local celebrations across the country. Each artist brings their individual style to the canvases, with various painting techniques, mediums, and color palettes that beautifully represent the vibrancy and liveliness of Japanese festivals.

Among the featured works are stunning pieces like Shō Morinaga's 'Lights of the Nebuta Festival' (47 x 59 cm) and Mamoru Morita's 'Takayama Festival - Hachiman Festival' (87 x 71 cm), showcasing the rich traditions and visual splendor that characterize these events.

In addition to the art exhibition, visitors can explore products such as hand fans adorned with the exhibited artworks, offering a unique way to take a piece of the experience home.
