Syncarpha Capital Launches Troy Solar I Project to Provide Clean Energy in Maine
Syncarpha Capital's New Community Solar Initiative in Maine
Syncarpha Capital, a prominent developer, owner, and operator of solar energy projects based in New York, has recently marked a significant milestone in its renewable energy efforts. On April 15, 2025, the company received the official green light—Permission to Operate (PTO)—for its Troy Solar I Community Solar Project, located in Troy, Maine. This project stands as the company's seventh operational community solar initiative in the state, reflecting its ongoing commitment to promoting clean and affordable energy solutions.
Situated along Bangor Road, the Troy Solar I facility boasts an impressive capacity of 1,472.25 kW DC and 995 kW AC. The array is designed for an annual output of approximately 1.8 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, sufficient to power over 200 homes. Moreover, it is expected to help in offsetting more than 1,200 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, contributing significantly to environmental sustainability efforts.
Under Maine's Net Energy Billing (NEB) Program, the Troy Solar I Project empowers Central Maine Power (CMP) customers to participate in community solar at no upfront cost. Subscribers will benefit from discounted solar credits on their electricity bills, translating to long-term financial savings without the need for individual rooftop solar installations.
Cliff Chapman, the CEO of Syncarpha Capital, expressed his enthusiasm about the new project, stating, "We are proud to bring another community solar project online in Maine, enabling more families to save money while supporting the shift to cleaner energy. These projects showcase that renewable energy can work for everyone—not just for those with eligible rooftops and resources."
Enrolling in the Troy Solar I community solar project is accessible, and interested parties can visit Syncarpha's community solar website, send an email, or make a call for more information.
