Celebrating Icons in Black Beauty Culture
On October 11, 2025, Atlanta will host the inaugural
Beauty Icon Awards, an event designed to celebrate and honor the notable contributions of individuals who have made significant impacts in Black beauty culture. Organized by Bronner Bros., a pioneer in multicultural beauty exhibitions for nearly eight decades, this event promises to be a magnificent tribute to the artistry and innovation that have shaped beauty standards across generations.
The
Beauty Icon Awards will take place at the Bronner Center of Performing Arts, also known as Riverside EpiCenter, starting at 7 p.m. The night is set to unfold like a live museum of beauty over the decades, showcasing the evolution of style, creativity, and culture that have defined the beauty landscape for the black community. The event will be further enlivened by the presence of special guests including celebrities, cultural influencers, and beauty industry professionals.
One of the highlights of the evening will be the recognition of
Chaka Khan, the 10-time GRAMMY® Award-winning artist, who is celebrated not only for her extraordinary musical talents but also for her impactful presence and fearless style. Kelly Keith, the Executive Producer of the awards, expresses her views on Chaka Khan's influence, stating, "Honoring Chaka Khan with the Beauty Icon Award feels natural—her music and presence have empowered generations, while her fearless style redefined beauty on her own terms. She is the embodiment of a beauty icon.”
