The Second Ethical Food Fair: A Step Towards Sustainable Eating



CCCMK Holdings, headquartered in Yokohama, Kanagawa, is establishing a co-creative platform called "V Everyone's Ethical Food Lab." This initiative seeks to explore how ethical products can resonate with consumers and motivate purchasing decisions. Following the first trial experiment held from October 10 to October 16, 2024, at Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore, the second event will be launched at Aeon Style Ariake Garden in Koto City, Tokyo, from November 4 to November 9, 2025.

Objectives and Insights



The first phase of the Sustainability Forum elucidated that ethical products should not only highlight their social value but also appeal through taste and quality. This insight has propelled the foundation of the 2025 forum, focusing on seven key ethical themes: Sustainable Seafood, Organic, Fair Trade, Animal Welfare, Plant-Based Food, Upcycled Food, and Sustainable Cocoa. For this second experiment, the focus is on examining the most effective ways to communicate these themes to consumers in-store, employing relatable messages on point-of-purchase (POP) displays.

The Event Details



During the second Ethical Food Fair at Aeon Style Ariake Garden, various products aligned with the seven ethical themes will be showcased. The aim is twofold: to present appealing products and to resonate with consumers through impactful messaging. This follows the initial phase, where changes in purchasing behavior were also documented. Through this practical approach, CCCMK Holdings aspires to deepen the societal penetration of ethical food in collaboration with all stakeholders involved in food—consumers, manufacturers, and retailers alike.
