Experience Delivery Jobs for Kids at Free Event in Inagi City During Spring Break

Experience Delivery Jobs this Spring in Inagi City

This spring, the Pal System Federation is offering a unique opportunity for elementary school students and their parents to dive into the world of logistics and IT through a special event called "Job Experience". Scheduled to run on selected dates from March 7 to April 4, 2026, at a dedicated facility in Inagi City, Tokyo, this event aims to educate participants about the intricacies of delivery services while providing engaging hands-on activities.

An Unforgettable Experience

Inagi City's logistics and IT experience facility is equipped with real sorting machines that are currently in use at the Pal System's logistics center. Participants will have access to original videos, informative panels, and tablets, making the learning process interactive and enjoyable. Each session lasts about one hour, allowing families to understand the mechanics behind home delivery services in a fun way. The event has received support from the Inagi City Board of Education, ensuring its educational value.

Pal System delivers over 10 million items each week to around 800,000 households, a feat made possible through effective logistics and information systems. Attendees will learn about the technology used in sorting and distribution, while also gaining insights into the broader trends in digitalization that are rapidly transforming modern society. Additionally, the program will highlight how the cooperative's delivery service facilitates pre-ordering of food items, contributing to the reduction of food waste in an environmentally sustainable manner.

A Popular Initiative

Since its inception in 2023, the Job Experience initiative has welcomed over 1,700 participants, including students from local schools. Feedback from children has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing excitement over using tablets for shopping and a strong desire for further involvement. Parents have echoed these sentiments, noting that the event has been equally beneficial for adults and has sparked their children's interest in food and logistics.
