EngineAI Unveils Groundbreaking Humanoid Robots at CES 2025

EngineAI: A New Player in Humanoid Robotics

The CES 2025 event held from January 7-10 served as a launching pad for Shenzhen EngineAI Robotics, a trailblazer in humanoid robot technology. Among their stunning lineup were the SE01, SA01, and PM01 humanoid robots, designed to redefine interaction between humans and machines.

Innovation at the Forefront
At the heart of EngineAI’s mission lies a commitment to advancing embodied intelligence. Zhao Tongyang, the visionary behind EngineAI, emphasized the necessity of creating top-tier general-purpose humanoid robots. With an ambitious target, the company aims to sell over a thousand units by the end of 2025. Zhao is not new to the robotics field; his previous ventures include pivotal contributions to the quadruped robot market and leading roles in XPENG Robotics, culminating in the birth of EngineAI in late 2023.

The SE01: A Beacon of Versatility
The star of EngineAI’s presentation was the SE01, a full-size humanoid robot crafted for diverse industrial applications. Engineered to handle heavy lifting and intricate assembly tasks, the SE01 stands out due to its advanced harmonic force control joint modules and deep reinforcement learning algorithms. The robot can execute complex movements, much like a human, enabling it to effectively operate in intricate environments while maximizing efficiency and accuracy. With a height of 170cm and weighing 55 kg, the SE01 is designed to outperform its predecessors.

Education and Research with the SA01
Targeting educational and research institutions, the SA01 brings innovation to the forefront. Its open-source platform allows for extensive customization, catering to various research needs. Weighing about 40 kg, SA01 can perform athletic feats such as running and jumping while consuming less than 200W of power. Priced at USD 5,400, it offers incredible value, and demand quickly exceeded expectations, prompting EngineAI to ramp up production capacity.

PM01: Flexibility Redefined
Completing the trio is the PM01, embodying a lightweight and dynamic structure. Standing at 138 cm and also weighing approximately 40 kg, this robot boasts functionalities such as dual walking modes—mechanical and humanoid. Equipped with a sleek interactive core screen and enhanced mobility, the PM01 accommodates diverse research applications, and its pricing set at USD 13,700 reflects its premium capabilities. For a limited time, early customers opting for the commercial version are upgraded to the educational edition.

A Vision for the Future
EngineAI's introduction at CES marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of humanoid robotics. Committed to innovation and sustainability, the company plans to develop solutions that fuel both educational advancement and practical applications across multiple sectors, including manufacturing and home use. EngineAI's overarching goal is to contribute significantly to the progression towards Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), linking AI solutions with training ecosystems.

Founded in Shenzhen Bay, EngineAI prides itself on its full-stack independent development approach, facilitating innovation from core technologies to operational frameworks. As it stands at the brink of a new era in robotics, EngineAI is set to captivate markets worldwide, transforming how we envision and interact with robots.
