WSI Honors Achievement as Partner of the Year in Responsible Care® for 2026

WSI Achieves Responsible Care® Partner of the Year Recognition

In a notable achievement, Warehouse Specialists, LLC (WSI) has been awarded the Responsible Care® Partner of the Year honor for the year 2026, marking the second consecutive year this distinction has been bestowed upon the company. The award, granted by the American Chemistry Council (ACC), highlights WSI's unwavering commitment to safety and operational excellence within the chemical logistics sector.

The ceremony took place on April 28, 2026, during the ACC's Responsible Care Sustainability Conference. This prestigious award is a testament to WSI’s relentless effort to meet and exceed the Responsible Care obligations, a program that emphasizes the need for environment, health, and safety in the chemical industry.

Scott Buber, the Director of Chemical Operations and Compliance at WSI, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “Earning this recognition two years in a row reflects what our teams bring to every facility, every shift, and every shipment.” He emphasized the critical need for chemical manufacturers to partner with a reliable 3PL capable of handling hazardous products securely and in compliance with all regulations. This award stands as proof of WSI's pledge to deliver on these commitments consistently.

WSI has been aligned with Responsible Care standards since acquiring its certification in 2013. The Responsible Care program mandates continuous third-party audits and requires reporting on various performance metrics, including environmental protection and stakeholder engagement.

Paul Simmons, President at WSI, reinforced the importance of safety in their operations by noting that standard procedures are insufficient for managing hazardous materials. He stated, “Safety and product integrity are non-negotiable. Absolute reliability is what our customers depend on and what our operations are built to deliver.”

The company’s robust practices extend beyond Responsible Care certification. WSI also earned an EcoVadis Silver rating, placing the organization among the top 15% of companies globally for corporate responsibility. Their sustainability efforts are diligently tracked across their nationwide facilities. Notably, in 2025 alone, WSI managed to save the equivalent of 9,888 trees and avoided 1,295 metric tons of CO₂e in greenhouse gas emissions while maintaining a recycling rate of 22% across all their warehouses.

WSI, celebrating six decades in the industry, has positioned itself as a specialized provider of warehousing and logistics services for hazardous materials. This is facilitated through its subdivision, Material Logistics Services, LLC, which focuses on secure storage and distribution of chemicals across the United States.
