BCYF to Host Heartwarming Fundraiser Dance Party in Baltimore for Local Youth
Just days ahead of Valentine's Day, the Baltimore Children & Youth Fund (BCYF) is set to spread love throughout the community with its exciting event,
BCYF Loves Baltimore. This lively dance party, scheduled for
February 8, 2025, from
4 PM to 9 PM at the popular venue
16 on the Park, aims to raise funds to support the city’s youth.
An Evening of Joy and Community Spirit
The event will feature an array of live performances, mouth-watering food, and signature cocktails. Attendees will also have the opportunity to win enticing raffle prizes while mingling with fellow supporters of Baltimore's youth. As part of the evening's festivities, community leaders will take the stage to deliver motivational speeches, and a special presentation welcoming guests to BCYF will be featured. Additionally, a live donation tracker will be displayed to showcase the collective impact raised throughout the evening, encouraging generosity among attendees.
Addressing Youth Challenges
BCYF Loves Baltimore extends beyond just a fun night out; it seeks to tackle the many challenges faced by young individuals in the city. Many neighborhoods in Baltimore lack essential programs and resources that are crucial for helping kids thrive. The funds gathered from this affair will be allocated to various youth organizations that provide mentorship, creative arts initiatives, mental health assistance, and educational resources.
Chan'nel Williams, BCYF Board Member and Fundraiser Co-chair, reflected on the significance of the event, saying,
“This isn't just another fundraiser – it's a celebration of Baltimore's strength and continued steps toward ensuring every child has access to the opportunities they deserve.” She emphasizes that contributions made to BCYF will empower organizations aimed at creating transformative, lasting changes for the youth and families of Baltimore.
A Community-Centered Initiative
The importance of community-driven solutions will be highlighted during this event, especially in light of the social justice issues that were magnified following the unrest after Freddie Gray's tragic death in 2015. BCYF aims to bridge the gap and foster equitable access to resources and opportunities within the city, ensuring that every child can aspire towards a brighter future.

About the Baltimore Children and Youth Fund
The Baltimore Children and Youth Fund initiative was launched in 2015 in response to the unrest in Baltimore following Freddie Gray's death while in police custody. The initiative was established to ensure that dedicated support is provided for programs assisting the city's youngest residents. Funded by Baltimore City residents' tax dollars, BCYF has awarded over
$31 million since 2020 to various programs designed for children and youth.
By championing community engagement through nightlife, food, and entertainment,
BCYF Loves Baltimore promises to be a remarkable event that not only delights but also uplifts the future of Baltimore's youth.
