Aven Hospitality Enhances Hotel Competitiveness with MCP Integration for AI Discovery

Aven Hospitality Strengthens Hotels' AI Capabilities with MCP

Aven Hospitality has unveiled its latest innovation, the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which is now enabled across its extensive platform. This strategic move aims to empower hotels to better compete as artificial intelligence increasingly influences the methods travelers use to search for and book accommodations.

Situated in Southlake, Texas, Aven Hospitality is recognized for its robust technology and software as a service (SaaS) solutions tailored for the hospitality sector. The integration of MCP will be embedded directly into its SynXis Central Reservation System (CRS) and Booking Engine. This integration allows hotels to securely share verified rates, availability, and engaging content with various AI-driven discovery platforms, all without the need for custom integrations at the individual property level.

Traditionally, many hotel systems were designed for conventional web-based distribution and marketplace listings. However, integrating with emerging AI platforms has often posed challenges, requiring significant custom development and ongoing maintenance. Aven’s latest approach aims to eradicate these hurdles at the platform level, making it much simpler for hotels to maintain their online presence in this rapidly evolving environment.

With MCP enabled, hotels leveraging Aven's CRS and Booking Engine can now ensure that their official rates, availability, and amenities are discoverable and consistent across AI-driven platforms. This process remains streamlined and does not require bespoke integrations, allowing properties to concentrate on their core operations. Notably, pricing and transaction functionalities remain fully controlled by the hotels themselves.

To further enhance this initiative, Aven Hospitality is collaborating with partners in the AI ecosystem, focusing on improving data governance, system integration, and scalable distribution models. The aim is to provide a more structured and cohesive connection for hotels to emerging AI platforms, rather than relying on fragmented, one-off integrations. This commitment goes beyond just MCP enablement; it aligns with Aven's long-term vision of modernizing hotel infrastructures suited for an AI-driven distribution landscape.

Amy Read, VP of Innovation at Aven Hospitality, highlighted this shift, stating, "AI is fundamentally changing how travelers interact with hotels, yet much of the industry’s existing infrastructure was not designed to accommodate an agent-driven world. Hotels shouldn't need to create fragmented integrations just to maintain visibility in a crowded marketplace. By embedding MCP directly into our platform, we're constructing a scalable foundation that enables hotels to engage effectively in AI-driven discovery while retaining authority over their pricing and guest relationships."

The company plans to initiate an Early Access Program for select hotel chains in the second quarter of 2026, promoting wider participation in the MCP framework following a phased rollout. This strategy will assess performance in real-world settings and position hotels to broaden their involvement as AI-driven travel discovery evolves.

Mark Hollyhead, Chief Transformation Officer, emphasized the importance of adjusting infrastructure to meet changing discovery channels, stating, "As discovery methods change, readiness in infrastructure becomes a fundamental priority. If hotels fail to integrate structurally with emerging AI platforms, they risk losing vital visibility in the marketplace. Our objective is to ensure hotels remain accurate, competitive, and firmly in control as distribution dynamics continue to evolve."

This announcement epitomizes Aven Hospitality's broader plan for platform modernization, reflecting its ongoing commitment to empowering hotels within an AI-enhanced distribution ecosystem.
