RAM Pavement Brings Community Together for Run Jen Run 5K to Aid Breast Cancer Patients

RAM Pavement Joins the Fight Against Breast Cancer at Run Jen Run 5K

On March 8, 2025, employees from RAM Pavement gathered at Symphony Park in SouthPark, Charlotte, to partake in the 13th Annual Run Jen Run 5K & Festival. This heartfelt event, organized by the Go Jen Go Foundation, aimed to raise funds for individuals battling breast cancer, fostering a strong sense of community and support among over 1,100 participants, including cancer survivors and local families.

As one of the proud sponsors, RAM Pavement has showcased its commitment to community initiatives that directly aid those in need. The event not only serves a philanthropic purpose but also cultivates a spirit of camaraderie and fun. To amplify the excitement, RAM hosted an internal challenge where the first four employees to cross the finish line before their President, Rob Miller, won cash prizes. The competition was tight, with Eric Murray finishing first with a time of 27:48, closely pursued by Johan Espinosa Polanco, Glenn Crouch, and Jeffry Hernandez, all beating Rob to the finish.

A total of 20 RAM Pavement employees donned their pink event shirts with pride, embodying the spirit of support and unity. Together, they contributed to an impressive fundraising effort that raised over $195,000 for families coping with breast cancer across the Carolinas. These funds will assist in covering everyday expenses such as utility bills, transportation to medical appointments, and even holiday gifts. The event also honored 97 breast cancer survivors, showcasing their strength and resilience, and featured 67 teams along with 56 sponsors and 70 dedicated volunteers, all working toward a common cause.

Rob Miller, President of RAM Pavement, expressed his gratitude, saying, "We're just so happy to be part of such a great organization that gives back to the community—helping women afflicted with cancer, helping pay the utility bills, helping them get to the hospital, and during Christmas time to get gifts. It's an amazing organization. I'm so glad to be part of it, and we plan to be part of it for many, many years to come."

Through participation in events like Run Jen Run, RAM Pavement continues to strengthen its ties to the community and make meaningful contributions to those who need it most. The company, which has been providing comprehensive paving services across North and South Carolina since 2004, prides itself on assisting local organizations and charities that focus on impactful community development.
