Upcoming FIDO Tokyo Seminar: Exploring Latest Trends in Passwordless Authentication

Join the 12th FIDO Tokyo Seminar

The FIDO Alliance is set to host the 12th edition of its seminar on December 5, 2025, at the Tokyo Port City Takeshiba. This seminar promises to be a pivotal event in the ongoing dialogue about passwordless authentication technologies. With the rising incidence of phishing attacks, the need for secure online authentication has never been more critical, and passkeys have emerged as a prominent countermeasure.

Keynote Speaker and Agenda

This year’s seminar will feature Masanori Kusunoki, Chief Officer of the Digital Agency's Digital Society Common Function Group, as the keynote speaker. He will discuss the importance of digital identity, authentication, and the latest initiatives headed by the digital agency. Expected presentations will highlight the current status of FIDO certifications, the activities of the FIDO Alliance and FIDO Japan Working Group, and insights from member companies and government agencies regarding the adoption of passkeys.

A panel discussion will provide attendees the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of passkeys and their impact. This seminar aims to enhance knowledge for all enterprises and organizations considering the implementation of passkeys in their systems.
