Sungrow FPV Launches Innovative Floating PV Systems at Intersolar Europe 2025

Sungrow FPV Unveils New Floating PV System Solutions at Intersolar Europe

On May 7, 2025, the Intersolar Europe exhibition was formally inaugurated in Munich, Germany, where Sungrow FPV garnered significant attention by showcasing its latest advancements in floating solar system solutions. As the demand for renewable energy solutions grows, floating solar technology has positioned itself as a vital part of the industry. Sungrow FPV has responded to evolving market demands and customer expectations by innovating its floating PV systems for enhanced efficiency and sustainability.

Market Evolution

In recent years, the focus of the European market for floating solar installations has shifted from merely assessing technical viability to prioritizing scalable cost-effectiveness and ecological benefits. Sungrow FPV's response includes the introduction of the SGF-TS30M floating solar system, which integrates four major breakthroughs:

1. Efficient Installation and Simplified Construction
The modular design and use of pre-assembled components have led to a 30% reduction in installation time. Furthermore, a streamlined process consisting of six standardized steps simplifies construction complexities, allowing for faster deployment of solar energy solutions.

2. Certification, Safety, and Reliability
The TÜV certification of the floating units attests to their ability to withstand snow loads of 2.3 kN/m² and ensures a 25-year operational guarantee. Additionally, the materials used in the floating systems are eco-certified, underscoring their commitment to environmental sustainability.

3. Robust Compatibility for Various Scenarios
The full-sized component carrier can accommodate a range of module sizes, with maximum dimensions of 2465 mm in length and 1303 mm in width. The flexible layout options and adjustable tilt angles (5° to 15°) make it adaptable to diverse solar irradiation conditions.

4. Optimal System Design for Safe Operations and Maintenance
An optimized layout improves the installed capacity by 10-15% per unit area, enhancing overall power generation. The design features the industry's widest maintenance walkway (0.58 meters), ensuring operational safety, while pre-set wiring plans simplify maintenance procedures.

Dr. Wiep Folkerts, an expert from the Dutch National Institute for Energy Research, delivered a keynote speech at the exhibition, praising Sungrow FPV's technological leadership. He emphasized that such innovations are crucial for fostering sustainable development in the global floating solar industry. Moreover, he highlighted the importance of continuous innovation in meeting the rigorous demands of solar technology.

Commitment to Innovation

Looking ahead, Sungrow Floating Solar is steadfast in its commitment to customer-focused innovation, aiming to deliver high-quality system solutions for the “floating solar +” application area. By striving to be the global navigator in floating PV technology, Sungrow FPV aims to provide reliable and efficient solutions that align with environmental goals.
