JetZero Expands Engineering Reach in Wichita
In a significant development for the aerospace industry, JetZero has announced its plans to launch an Engineering office in Wichita, Kansas, on the campus of the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) at Wichita State University (WSU). The opening of this satellite office, slated for later this year, emphasizes JetZero's focus on advanced materials expertise, digital engineering, and testing capabilities crucial for the aircraft's certification processes. Daniel da Silva, JetZero’s President and Chief Operating Officer, noted that this expansion would enhance the company's ability to attract top talent in the aerospace sector. "Opening a satellite engineering office in Wichita expands our ability to attract the world's best talent," said Da Silva. This location is not only strategic for JetZero's operational goals but also beneficial in fostering closer collaboration with NIAR, an entity with which they have been collaborating for years.
NIAR is the largest university-based aerospace research institution in the United States and plays a pivotal role in the advancement of aerospace technologies. It houses facilities like the Advanced Technologies Lab for Aerospace Systems and the Aircraft Structural Test and Evaluation Center, providing an invaluable resource for research and testing. As JetZero prepares to establish its new office, it is also ramping up its manufacturing capabilities in Greensboro, North Carolina, where its headquarters and advanced manufacturing campus are currently under construction.
