Spring Limited Menu from Fukui at Torimachi in Tokyo
This spring, from March 1 to March 15, 2026, visitors to
Torimachi locations in
Shibaura (Minato City) and
Harajuku (Shibuya City) will have the unique opportunity to savor a special menu inspired by locally sourced ingredients from the Fukui region. This culinary event, titled
Echizen Fukui Fair 2026 Spring, is a collaborative effort with
LDH Japan to promote the region’s rich food culture.
The event features dishes crafted from Fukui's finest seasonal produce. Notably, guests can indulge in dishes creatively prepared by the artisans of
Torishiki Ichimon, such as:
- - Dino Kale Salad with a spicy dressing (a Fukui specialty)
- - Dino Kale Rolls
- - Deep-Fried Josho Taro (a traditional vegetable)
- - Oden with locally produced tofu and chicken
- - Mushroom Rice with Kudzuryu Maitake and black rice
- - Sweet treats, including Kuwata's Mizuyokan and ice cream made with Jersey milk.
Drink offerings include the renowned
Kokuryu Sake, featuring exclusives like the
ESHIKOTO series that can only be found at the Ishidaya ESHIKOTO store. Furthermore,
Hakusan Winery will offer exquisite domestic wines, both red and white.
At
Harajuku Torimachi, experience a fusion of flavors with a special lunch menu that incorporates Korean elements:
- - Echizen Sesame Soba topped with chicken cutlet in sauce
- - Sides featuring Fukui-grown seasonal vegetables prepared in a Korean-style namul.
Additionally, in celebration of the fair, a
Giveaway Campaign will be held. By dining and completing a questionnaire, participants will have the chance to win delectable Fukui gourmet prizes, including:
- - A whole Echizen Crab for one winner
- - 2 kg of Fukui rice, Ichihomare, for five lucky diners
- - A selection of Fukui specialty products for ten others.

- - How to Participate: Customers can scan QR codes located in both Torimachi locations to answer a survey and enter the giveaway, limited to one entry per person.

This initiative is a vital part of Fukui's efforts to showcase the depth of its culinary heritage and food culture through collaboration with LDH Japan. The
Fukui City Agricultural Policy Division is responsible for overseeing this campaign and ensuring success in attracting food enthusiasts and promoting local produce.
In March 2021,
Kenchii Tachibana, a member of the popular group
EXILE/EXILE THE SECOND, was appointed as Fukui City's Food PR Ambassador to further promote the local food scene. He has significantly contributed to this mission through various initiatives, including supervising menu creations at LDH-owned restaurants.
As part of the
Regional Revitalization Partnership Agreement signed in March 2023 with LDH Japan, the city continues to explore diverse areas of collaboration, including commerce, tourism, education, and culture, to generate more interest and attractions around Fukui and its unique offerings.
