RAINBOWCO Reinforces Global Brand Strategy for Enhanced Leadership

In an ambitious move set to reshape its global presence, RAINBOWCO (SZ002483) recently announced a substantial update to its brand strategy. This initiative, effective from September 1, 2025, will see the company unify its joint branding under the GENMA name, responding to the growing trend of consolidation in the high-end equipment market. The change is anticipated to sharpen GENMA's brand identity and enhance the interplay with the renowned KOCH brand.

RAINBOWCO is a pioneer in high-end equipment manufacturing, offering a diverse portfolio that comprises three primary brands: GENMA, GENMA-KALMAR, and KOCH. The company excels in delivering high-end solutions across various sectors, including shipyard, marine offshore engineering, and bulk material handling, focusing on efficiency and technological advancement. The GENMA-KALMAR brand, a collaboration with Finnish industry leader KALMAR specializing in container port solutions, will transition fully to GENMA following this strategic consolidation.

The acquisition of KOCH in 2019 has further fortified RAINBOWCO's market standings. BOCH has an extensive 80-year history in bulk material handling, and its merger with FLSmidth’s divisions in 2023 has allowed for an even broader suite of services encompassing the entire value chain of bulk material handling.

Susan Zha, General Manager of the Terminal Container Handling Solutions SBU, emphasized the importance of this branding update for the future of the company. She expressed confidence that this transition would not only streamline management but also improve alignment in product technology standards, supply chain effectiveness, and overall customer service.

This strategic brand consolidation comes on the heels of RAINBOWCO's acquisition of KALMAR’s heavy crane business in 2022, which bolstered GENMA-KALMAR's technical capabilities and global operational reach. Major accomplishments have already been realized, such as the successful deployment of 40 Rubber Tired Gantry cranes (RTGs) for Damietta and another 50 for Marsa Maroc.

Martin Wu, CEO of RAINBOWCO, reiterated the company’s commitment to high-end equipment development. He noted their ongoing expansion of manufacturing and assembly bases aimed at enhancing service delivery to customers worldwide. Based in Nantong, China, RAINBOWCO was established in 2003 and employs over 3,600 individuals across five production facilities globally, with an annual revenue exceeding $1 billion in 2024.

Looking ahead, RAINBOWCO invites partners and stakeholders to join them at the upcoming TOC Europe 2025 exhibition from June 17-19, 2025. Attendees can visit booth GENMA SOLUTIONS_J18 to explore the latest advancements and technological innovations.

In summary, RAINBOWCO's strategic upgrade of its branding is indicative of its proactive approach to evolving market dynamics in high-end equipment manufacturing. The consolidation under GENMA not only symbolizes a unified vision but also sets the stage for enhanced synergies and improved operational efficiencies in the future.
