Exciting Release of Kansai-Themed Vacuum Insulated Travel Mug by Thermos
Thermos Co., Ltd., a global leader in vacuum insulation technology, has announced the launch of its latest product, the
Kansai-themed vacuum insulated travel mug (JOM-500TSS KNSI), set to hit the market on
May 26, 2025. This new product embodies the vibrant culture and famous motifs of the Kansai region, including charming illustrations of maiko (apprentice geisha), takoyaki (octopus balls), and the scenic Biwa Lake.
The design for this specialty bottle is the result of a successful campaign called
'Which Local Bottle Do You Prefer?', conducted between
November 22 and December 23, 2024. In this campaign, fans could vote between two proposed designs: one that creatively showcased local Kansai specialties and another that expressed the Kansai dialect in a graphical manner. Ultimately, the
Kansai Specialty Design won with
51% of the votes, earning its place as the official design for the regional bottle.
The
Kansai Specialty Design features a lively and colorful layout, capturing the essence of what makes the Kansai region beloved. This includes popular motifs and symbols that resonate deeply with the local culture. Thermos has once again demonstrated its commitment to connecting products with culture and community through innovative design.
These travel mugs will be available at five Thermos-branded stores across the Kansai region, along with their official online store. To ensure exclusivity, the travel mugs will be sold in limited quantities online, and once sold out, they will no longer be available. The physical stores where you can purchase the travel mug include:

- - Thermos Store, Mitsui Outlet Park Shiga Ryuo
- - Thermos Store, Mitsui Outlet Park Osaka Kadoma
