Tambourine Expands with the Acquisition of ReservHotel
In a significant development within the hospitality industry,
Tambourine, a leader in hotel marketing technology, has officially acquired
ReservHotel, renowned for its hotel reservation platform primarily serving the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) regions. This acquisition, finalized in August 2024, marks a pivotal shift for Tambourine as it seeks to enhance the booking experience for hotel guests across North America.
Over the last ten years, Tambourine has transformed how hotels present themselves online, blending aesthetics and functionality with a commitment to innovative solutions that require no upfront fees or term contracts. The company’s latest move aims to revolutionize the entire customer journey from website interaction to booking confirmation by leveraging ReservHotel’s proven technology.
Rafael Cardozo, CEO of Tambourine, expressed excitement about the synergy created through the acquisition: "At Tambourine, we've always believed that great design isn't just about aesthetics — it's about removing friction and creating a seamless, intuitive experience. This acquisition is the inevitable next step in our journey. We transformed how hotels present themselves online; now we are transforming how guests complete that journey. ReservHotel's powerful reservation platform provides us the missing piece to reimagine the hotel path to purchase — beautifully, intelligently, and end-to-end."
With this acquisition, Tambourine’s clients will gain access to a sophisticated suite of services including a world-class booking engine, hotel and air packaging, a dedicated reservations call center, and industry expertise. Concurrently, clients of ReservHotel can now utilize Tambourine’s cutting-edge marketing tools, prominently featuring high-converting, tailor-made websites.
Leadership Transition
Luis Barberi, the former CEO of ReservHotel, joins Tambourine’s executive leadership team as Chief Reservations Systems Officer. In this role, Barberi will oversee reservation technology and expand the reservations product line. He remarked on the significance of the merger, stating, "Like Tambourine, ReservHotel has been trusted in the industry for over 30 years, powering over 500 of the world's most respected hotels and resorts. It's been exciting to bring these two companies and their powerful tech stack together."
With the acquisition complete, Tambourine is reaffirming its intentions to redefine possibilities within hospitality marketing and technology. Notably, Tambourine has retained ReservHotel's offices in Cancun, which will continue supporting call center operations and maintaining key accounts in Mexico. Additionally, the ReservHotel brand is being revitalized under the new designation,
Reserv by Tambourine.
