Furniture China 2025 Wraps Up with New Records
The 30th edition of Furniture China, organized by the China National Furniture Association and Shanghai Sinoexpo Informa Markets, concluded successfully from September 10 to 13, 2025. The event was themed 'BEYOND NEXT', highlighting innovation and sustainability in design and manufacturing.
This year, the exhibition marked a historic moment, attracting a remarkable 163,527 visits over its five-day run. Visitors came from 174 countries, showcasing the event's growing international stature. Particularly noteworthy was the influx of overseas attendees, counting 32,618, indicating a 13.9% increase compared to the previous year. This surge reflects the increasing recognition and appreciation of Furniture China on the global stage.
The scale of the exhibition was impressive, with displays covering 350,000 square meters and featuring more than 3,200 exhibitors. The diversity of showcased products spanned everything from finished furniture to raw materials and cutting-edge smart manufacturing techniques. High points included the Outdoor Garden Furniture Pavilion and the FMC Premium section at SNIEC, where sustainable and quality production was emphasized. The combination of sourcing strength and innovative designs bolstered Furniture China and Maison Shanghai's positions as leading hubs for the global furniture and lifestyle sector.
Maison Shanghai, held simultaneously at the SWEECC from September 9 to 12, offered a plethora of design-forward brands, totaling over 800 across four thematic zones. The H3 Design Highland Pavilion emerged as a focal point, attracting considerable attention from industry experts, media representatives, and buyers alike, and setting a new standard for design-oriented exhibitions.
The growth of Maison Shanghai was equally notable. The event welcomed 47,077 visitors from 136 countries, a staggering increase of 55.6% from the prior year. Moreover, the number of international attendees surged by 123%, indicating a sustained interest in lifestyle design and cultural creativity. The exhibition featured more than 100 forums and events, underlining innovation, heritage, sustainability, and the fusion of Eastern and Western design philosophies. Key platforms such as the Gold Idea Design Award and the Design of Designers (DOD) emphasized the importance of creativity in the industry.
In addition to in-person interactions, the exhibitions expanded their reach digitally through the DTS FurnitureChina app. This platform allows for year-round business opportunities with its AI matchmaking capabilities, exhibitor catalogs, and streamlined communication channels.
As the event closed with gratitude to all exhibitors, partners, and attendees, the organizers expressed excitement about welcoming the global furniture and design community back to Shanghai Pudong in 2026.
