Western Pavement Services Expands with Andersen Asphalt Partnership in Utah

Western Pavement Services Partners with Andersen Asphalt

In a strategic move to enhance its service offerings, Western Pavement Services (WPS), a reputable company in asphalt paving and maintenance across the western United States, has officially partnered with Andersen Asphalt, a prominent Utah-based service provider known for its top-tier pavement maintenance solutions. This partnership, finalized on September 17, 2026, allows WPS to broaden its capabilities to serve customers in Utah’s fast-growing markets along the Wasatch Front.

Andersen Asphalt, which was established in 2000 and is situated in West Haven, Utah, has built a robust reputation over its extensive 25-year history. Their expertise encompasses various services, including slurry seal, sealcoating, asphalt surface treatments (notably AP4), crack sealing, and striping. The company prides itself on its long-standing relationships with a diverse clientele that includes municipal authorities, school districts, industrial operators, homeowners associations (HOAs), and residents.

As part of WPS's expansion, Andersen Asphalt will maintain its distinct brand identity and name, operating under the leadership of President Derek Andersen and Vice President Caden Andersen, who are set to keep significant ownership stakes within the framework of Western Pavement Services. This integration aligns perfectly with WPS’s existing operations, alongside other well-known entities like Roadrunner Paving and Black Forest Paving, thereby consolidating WPS's market presence in Utah.

The amalgamation of Andersen's specialized maintenance services with WPS’s already established paving solutions paves the way for comprehensive service delivery that covers every aspect of the pavement lifecycle. Cooper Ainge, the Utah Market President of WPS, expressed enthusiasm over this new partnership, noting that Andersen has distinguished itself as a leader in the realm of asphalt preservation services. He believes that this collaboration will enable WPS to offer some of the most complete pavement care solutions, ranging from initial paving to long-term maintenance that protects client investments for years.

WPS CEO James Reed elaborated on the strategic importance of Utah as one of the nation’s fastest-growing markets. He highlighted that incorporating maintenance services through the Andersen partnership was a natural progression for their business model. He commended the Andersen team's strong fundamentals and quality service reputation, which took two decades to establish.

Derek Andersen, the President of Andersen Asphalt, shared his excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the potential for growth and expanded capabilities without disrupting the established culture and quality that clients have come to trust. He firmly believes that aligning with WPS will enable Andersen Asphalt to continue meeting and exceeding the high standards for which they are known in the region.

As Andersen Asphalt integrates into the WPS family, it will continue to provide its services seamlessly from its current locations across Utah. This merger not only enhances service efficiency but also underlines the commitment of both companies toward customer satisfaction and quality workmanship in the realm of pavement maintenance.
