MHP: First Ukrainian Agricultural Company Joins World Economic Forum as Official Partner
MHP's Historic Partnership with the World Economic Forum
In a groundbreaking development, MHP has officially become the first agricultural enterprise from Ukraine to partner with the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF). This remarkable achievement not only highlights MHP's commitment to excellence but also marks a significant milestone for Ukraine's presence on the global economic stage.
As one of only four organizations from Ukraine to achieve this status, MHP is set to play a pivotal role in advocating for the agri-food and agro-technology sectors at the WEF, known for being a leading platform in shaping global economic and political agendas. MHP's Vice President for Global Affairs, Mykhailo Bno-Airiian, represented the company at the Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, engaging in crucial discussions with various stakeholders, including international institutions, governments, and business leaders.
During these discussions, key topics included Ukraine's agricultural sector's role in global food security, investment opportunities in agri-technologies and bioenergy, and how Ukrainian enterprises can reinforce Europe's and the global economy's resilience. The strategic engagement with WEF's leadership was particularly noteworthy. In a meeting with Marwen Garbaa, Head of European Partner Development, MHP underscored its commitment to a sustained engagement within the WEF community.
MHP's intentions extend beyond maintaining its presence; the company aims to foster collaborations with several critical global stakeholders, including state officials, ministers, non-governmental organizations, and major corporations. These partnerships will focus on critical issues such as food security, hunger alleviation, protein supply stability, and cultivating sustainable and responsible agri-food systems.
At the WEF Annual Meeting, Bno-Airiian also held numerous discussions with significant figures such as Saudi Arabia's Minister of Finance, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Spain's Minister of Economy, Carlos Cuerpo, Germany's Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Katherina Reiche, and Croatia's Prime Minister, Andrej Plenković. These dialogues are crucial for establishing long-term relationships with key markets, setting a foundation for ongoing cooperation.
Commenting on the company's new status, Bno-Airiian noted, "Achieving Official Partner status confirms MHP's recognition as a leading agri-food and food-tech company. This sends a vital message that, despite the ongoing war, Ukrainian companies can show resilience and actively engage in international dialogues."
MHP's representation at Davos amplifies Ukraine's voice in the global economic discussions, showcasing the country's agricultural sector's vital role in contributing to global stability and food security.
In addition to the Annual Meeting in Davos, MHP has plans to attend the forthcoming Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, along with various regional events. These engagements will further emphasize MHP's dedication to addressing the world's significant challenges.
