Moomoo Paradise Launches New Shabu-Shabu and Matcha Experience for Guests

Moomoo Paradise Introduces a Unique Shabu-Shabu and Matcha Experience

Moomoo Paradise, a specialist in shabu-shabu and sukiyaki, is set to offer an innovative dining experience that merges delectable Japanese cuisine with the art of tea preparation. Starting on April 1, 2026, Moomoo Paradise will launch a new buffet course that allows guests to indulge in all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu and sukiyaki while enjoying the traditional Japanese tea ceremony featuring freshly whipped matcha. This initiative comes in response to the rising demand from international tourists seeking authentic Japanese cultural experiences.

An Unforgettable Matcha Journey

As international travel rebounded, interest among foreign visitors for experiencing Japan’s rich culture has surged, particularly for matcha. The new course is designed specifically for tourists, combining a shabu-shabu and sukiyaki buffet with live matcha preparation performed at the table by trained staff. This unique combination is expected to elevate the dining experience, offering patrons the opportunity to appreciate Japan's tea culture while enjoying their meal.

The matcha used in this new offering is "Kyosui", produced in Kyoto, which is known for its rich aroma, refined taste, and vivid green color. It caters to various palates, making it approachable for international customers. Guests will be able to witness the traditional technique of preparing matcha with a tea whisk right at their table; each guest will receive a freshly whisked serving of matcha.

During the service, staff will explain how to enjoy matcha in multiple languages, including English, ensuring that international guests fully appreciate the intricacies of Japanese tea drinking. Accompanying the matcha will be traditional sweets, providing a calming and refined conclusion to the meal.

Price and Course Structure

The all-you-can-eat course is available for an additional fee of 1,500 JPY (including tax) on top of the standard buffet options. The guests can enjoy:
  • - Unlimited shabu-shabu or sukiyaki for 100 minutes
  • - 20 minutes of matcha preparation demonstration using "Kyosui"
  • - Tea sweets and a serving of rich matcha with salty milk ice cream.

This course operates under a 120-minute limit, with the initial 100 minutes dedicated to the shabu-shabu and sukiyaki feast, followed by the matcha demonstration. To maintain a seamless experience, the new course requires reservations for all guests in a party.

A Smooth Reservation Process

Guests are encouraged to book their experience through "Club Wonder", an exclusive membership program that simplifies the reservation process via a smartphone app. Membership is free and allows users to accumulate points with each visit, which can be exchanged for digital gift cards. Regular visitors may also enjoy elevated membership statuses that enhance their booking experience, especially during high-demand dinner times on weekends and holidays.
