Janet Kim Joins Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking as Managing Director

In a strategic move aimed at bolstering its operations in the Americas, Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking (Natixis CIB) has appointed Janet Kim as Managing Director and Head of Strategic Equity Capital Markets (SECM) Americas. This announcement marks a significant milestone for the firm as it looks to expand its services in a competitive market.

Janet Kim, bringing over 25 years of extensive experience in structured capital markets, product innovation and strategic client advisory, will be at the forefront of driving SECM's growth and development in the Americas. Based out of New York, her role entails implementing strategic plans that are crucial in building out this business segment for Natixis CIB. Her leadership is expected to enhance the firm’s capabilities in equity financing and advisory services.

Janet will assume oversight of all SECM transactions, which include equity financing, primary equity, and equity advisory services. This role necessitates a close partnership with Natixis’s Coverage teams to maintain an active dialogue with key clients, which include Financial Institutions, Financial Sponsors, and Corporate Clients, regarding their advisory, hedging, and borrowing requirements. It is clear that her focus will not just be on growth but also on delivering tailored solutions that align with the needs of their diverse clientele.

Before joining Natixis CIB, Janet served as a Managing Director at Santander Capital Markets, where she worked in the Strategic Equity Solutions division. Her impressive resume also includes senior roles at Coinbase and an extensive 20-year tenure at BNP Paribas, where she led Strategic Equity Solutions in New York and shared responsibilities for the Global Growth Markets in London. Her academic background boasts a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University, along with coursework at the esteemed Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
