VIVIFY Technology Appoints Wesley Persall as Chief Engineer
VIVIFY Technology has made a significant move in its leadership by appointing Wesley Persall as the Chief Engineer. This decision marks a pivotal step for the company, renowned for its advancements in hydrogen energy solutions, particularly the innovative Flying Pig™ platform.
Wesley Persall, with a rich background spanning over 30 years in aerospace flight testing, brings a wealth of experience to VIVIFY Technology. His career initiated with the U.S. Air Force, where he was instrumental in the developmental testing of exoatmospheric vehicles and hypersonic technologies. Persall’s credentials include pivotal roles in high-profile projects like the X-37, X-43, and X-51, leading him to develop flight test instrumentation for Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo and White Knight Two while at Scaled Composites. His journey culminated in contributions to Blue Origin's New Glenn program.
At VIVIFY, Persall's specific responsibility will entail overseeing the validation architecture to ensure that hydrogen systems operate precisely as intended. His expertise will be crucial in refining the manufacturing and production processes that will transition the Flying Pig™ from the testing phase to full-scale deployment. This focus aligns perfectly with VIVIFY Technology’s mission of proving that its hydrogen energy platforms can compete in the evolving energy market.
In discussing his role, Persall stated, “The energy companies that built the last century are not our competition; rather, they serve as our proof of concept. My goal is to ensure that our systems consistently deliver on our promises.” This sentiment resonates with VIVIFY's approach to innovation, as the company aims to disrupt the energy sector by adopting scientifically rigorous validation processes.
Wesley's educational background includes a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University and a commendable tenure as a U.S. Air Force Captain. His mindset towards engineering and validation emphasizes objectivity, relying on accurate data rather than preconceived notions. “Validation is just the beginning,” Persall remarked, highlighting that the same diligence applied in proving system reliability will also be employed to refine these technologies for mass production.
VIVIFY Technology, headquartered in Delray Beach, Florida, specializes in the design and development of hydrogen-based energy solutions. Among their flagship products are the Hydrogen Oxygen Generator™ (HOG™) and Clean Air Technology™ (CAT™), all engineered to provide sustainable power for demanding infrastructure.
